Fort Myers Lung Cancer Patient Group to Discuss Oncology Genetic Counseling
FORT MYERS, FL- (June 6, 2024) The June meeting of the LiveLung Fort Myers Lung Cancer group will feature Genetic Counselor, Tresa Kim, GC, who will discuss Genetic Counseling.
This free meeting is open to all lung cancer patients and survivors and their care partners. The meeting will be held at 11:30 am, Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Hyatt Place Fort Myers at the Forum, 2600 Champion Ring Road, Fort Myers. Lunch will be provided.
Tresa Kim, GC graduated from Bay Path University in Massachusetts with a MSc in Genetic Counseling, and from Dongguk University in Seoul, South Korea, with a MSc in Biological and Environmental Science. She served in the US Army as a Surgical Technologist and has been working at Lee Health as an Oncology Genetic Counselor testing affected patients and family members for cancer-risk based genetic mutations for nearly three years. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors and served on the Research and Public Relations committee. She has a strong interest in health equity, genetics education outreach, and bioethics.
