Monthly Lung Cancer Patient Group Now Meeting in Fort Myers, FL, Discussing Mental Health in Cancer Treatment

FORT MYERS, FL- (May 3, 2024) The May meeting of the LiveLung Fort Myers Lung Cancer group will feature Social Worker, Jonathan Fucella, MSW, LCSW, who will discuss Mental Health in Lung Cancer Treatment.

This free meeting is open to all lung cancer patients and survivors and their care partners. The meeting will be held at 11:30 am, Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Hyatt Place Fort Myers at the Forum, 2600 Champion Ring Road, Fort Myers. Lunch will be provided.

Jonathan Fucella, MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been with Lee Health Cancer Center for more than ten years. He received a BS in Phycology from the University of Florida and an MSW from the University of South Florida. His clinical specialty was trauma and he has specialty trainings in Prolonged Exposure to Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD. He’s worked with Veterans with PTSD through the Homebase Program, has six years’ experience as a counselor working with adult patients suffering from mental illness, five years’ experience at Cape Coral Hospital as a Medical Social Worker in the Emergency Department, and five years’ experience at the Salus Care Crisis Units working with adult and pediatric patients under the Baker Act.
