When Dr. Kevin Speight’s wife Elizabeth was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer, he understood that unless he found a clinical trial, Elizabeth would likely not survive. As her care partner, he diligently searched for a trial that might offer hope. Dr. Speight, an anesthesiologist, served on the Bowman Gray School of Medicine Faculty at Wake Forest University and recently retired from Carolina Anesthesiology.
The Lunch, Learn & Live event was made possible in-part by grants from Lilly and Foundation Medicine.
